A photographic walk that does good
A special initiative by Parioli Fotografia – Casa della Fotografia di Roma in collaboration with the Amici dei Bimbi ETS association.
An urban experience open to everyone: school students, enthusiasts, amateur photographers and anyone who is sensitive to the extraordinary social activities and the fight against educational poverty that the association carries out every day in the Bastogi neighbourhood (Via Arnaldo Canepa).
Documenting reality with respect, delicacy and visual depth
Photography is not just technique or aesthetics — it is a powerful instrument of relationship, documentation and civic engagement. On Saturday 6 June we will set aside sterile geometric exercise to immerse ourselves in the anthropological narrative of a complex, identitarian and vital neighbourhood.
Guided by Gilberto Maltinti, we will walk through the lots and streets of Bastogi with the aim of documenting reality with respect, delicacy and visual depth, focusing on details, on the stories of the community and on the daily work that the association’s staff carry out with the children and families of the centre.
All practical information
When: Saturday 6 June 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Meeting point: Via Arnaldo Canepa (Bastogi, Rome) — in front of the Amici dei Bimbi ETS association headquarters
Participation fee: €50 per person
THE VALUE OF THE DONATION
The entire participation fee (100%) will be donated to the Amici dei Bimbi ETS Association to fund after-school activities and support for the children of the neighbourhood. A concrete way to ensure that photographic culture becomes real help.
Two sessions to grow together
The Photographic Walk in the field
Two and a half hours of guided shooting session, on-site analysis of framing, approach to social reportage and light management.
The Reading and Review Session
A second critical-feedback session (to be agreed together) to analyse, edit and comment on the best shots made by each participant during the walk.
